Charlo Child Safety Standards

Charlo is committed to maintaining a safe service and preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Zero-tolerance policy
Charlo has zero tolerance for:
- Child sexual abuse and exploitation
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Grooming of minors
- Sexual solicitation involving minors
- Sextortion involving minors
- Trafficking or exploitation of children
- Sharing, requesting, promoting, or distributing sexual content involving minors
This content and conduct are prohibited on Charlo, including when they are exchanged privately between users.
User reporting
Charlo provides in-app mechanisms that allow users to report users/accounts or conduct that violates these standards. Reports may be reviewed, and appropriate action may be taken based on the available information, the service's technical capabilities, and applicable law.
Enforcement
Violations may result in actions including:
- Investigation of relevant content or accounts
- Removal or restriction where technically applicable
- Account suspension or termination
- Preservation of relevant information where legally required
- Reporting to relevant authorities where required by applicable law
The action taken will depend on the circumstances, available evidence, technical capabilities, and applicable legal requirements.
Legal compliance and reporting
Charlo intends to comply with applicable child safety laws and lawful reporting obligations. Where required by applicable law, Charlo may report suspected CSAM or child sexual exploitation to the appropriate regional or national authorities or designated reporting bodies.
Age and safety
Charlo is intended for adults aged 18 and older. This 18+ audience setting does not reduce Charlo's obligation to prevent, detect, and respond to child safety violations involving any user or content.
